Excellent training, great prospects: Young talent at Baumüller
Apprentice Viktor Lieb completed his training as a technical product designer for mechanical and plant engineering at the engine plant with an award.
The family-run Baumüller Group, which has its headquarters in Nuremberg, manufactures electric motors at its plant in Kitzingen. These are used in industrial production systems, for example in plastics or textile machines. The company currently employs around 120 people in Kitzingen.
Great team
Viktor Lieb completed his training as a technical product designer for mechanical and plant engineering at the motor plant with flying colors and was awarded a prize by the government of Lower Franconia. With a final grade of 1.3, he is one of the three best trainees in his year. The Würzburg native will continue to work in the Industrial Engineering team at Baumüller in the future. There he will take on exciting tasks such as the design, calculation, construction and commissioning of new technical systems. “I like working at Baumüller because I can contribute to cool developments and immerse myself in the technical side of things. We are a great team and have a lot of fun implementing new projects,” says Viktor Lieb happily.
A particular highlight during his apprenticeship, which he started in 2022, was working on a new robot cell, says Lieb. He was fully involved in this project and gained a lot of experience. “As a result, I took a lot of knowledge from the work into the classroom, which was very valuable,” says Lieb.
Every year, Baumüller trains apprentices in commercial and technical professions at several locations. Electrical drive technology offers a wide range of fields of activity. The company is committed to using future-proof technology to create energy-efficient and economical solutions for mechanical engineering. The aim is to make the manufacture of products for everyday life more sustainable and to promote the electrification of mobile applications.
