Internationality is of great importance at the Ohm. Taking an internationally oriented bachelor’s or master’s degree programme gives you an opportunity to expand your horizons beyond your own culture. With the exception of the bachelor’s programme in International Business and Technology , all degree programmes are taught entirely in English. The university also offers a broad range of double degrees consisting of a university-level qualification from both the Ohm and from an institution abroad.

Ohm International School
The Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences Georg Simon Ohm (Ohm) is taking another step towards positioning itself as an attractive place to study for international students. With the founding of the Ohm International School, the university presents its internationally oriented study programmes under one roof.
The Ohm International School (OIS) is another milestone on Ohm's path to becoming an international university. 25 years ago, the first English-language degree programme was introduced with the Bachelor's degree programme in International Business. Based on this experience, the OIS is now creating a university-wide framework for further international study programmes.
The newly founded OIS began its work at the start of the new winter semester. The OIS sees itself as a platform on which internationally oriented study programmes and activities of the various faculties are presented to the outside world. At the same time, it supports the introduction of further English-language degree programmes and courses and promotes the networking of teachers who are committed to the internationalisation of Ohm.
In addition to the courses offered by the faculties, the OIS coordinates and organises inter-faculty courses such as the Ohm International Summer School and English-language courses for international exchange students. In addition, the OIS acts as a counselling centre. From the application process and enrolment in the appropriate degree programme to accommodation and the necessary dealings with the authorities, the advisory service covers all organisational topics relating to international studies at Ohm.
"The Ohm International School is an important vehicle for implementing our internationalisation strategy. Its development will be financed over the next four years from the current university contract," says Prof. Dr. Uwe Mummert, Vice President for Internationalisation and Diversity.
Attracting more students from abroad, especially for Ohm's technical degree programmes, also helps to address the shortage of skilled workers in the region. Therefore, the OIS supports the faculties in introducing English-language degree programmes in close cooperation with regional stakeholders such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
