AI workshop for the tax advisory profession
The DATEV AI workshop enables applications to be tested at an early stage.
With the new AI workshop, DATEV eG is now providing its cooperative members with an online platform for testing innovative applications that work on the basis of generative artificial intelligence (AI). Early prototypes for AI utilisation scenarios in the tax advisory, auditing and legal advisory professions can be found exclusively on the platform. Interested parties can try these out without obligation in a protected environment and thus familiarise themselves with the specific use of AI technology. They can also use their feedback to contribute to the further development of the prototypes and discuss their prospects with DATEV and other users on the platform.
Although the prototypes provided in the DATEV AI workshop are not yet fully developed, they already demonstrate very well the functional capabilities in everyday law firm work. The platform is available to all DATEV members free of charge. It can be accessed at www.datev.de/ki-werkstatt or via the general information page www.datev.de/ki. To access the AI workshop, interested parties only need to authenticate themselves using their preferred DATEV login method (SmartLogin, mIDentity, user account, etc.).
Close to the pulse of development - three application prototypes at the start
At the start of the AI workshop, three application prototypes will initially be available there:
Objection generator
The first prototype is the basic version of an objection generator that automatically formulates an objection to a tax assessment based on just a few entries. In a later expansion stage, the tool will analyse submitted declarations and notices, identify deviations and appealable facts and compare these with documents on the legal situation from the connected DATEV LEXinform legal database.
DATEV-GPT
Another project is DATEV-GPT, i.e. a test version of ChatGPT specified for the requirements of the profession. Unlike the freely available version, it will make the familiar functions available to DATEV members within a closed, data protection-compliant framework.
Intelligent assistant
The third prototype is an intelligent assistant that creates job advertisements for the law firm's personnel search based on just a few entries.
It is worth taking a regular look at the AI workshop, as the range of tests available there will continue to grow and develop so that users always have their finger on the pulse of DATEV AI developments. An early version of another intelligent assistant is already in the starting blocks and will be available shortly. It will provide targeted support when formulating law firm content for various social media channels such as LinkedIn or Instagram.
